FRAK -Frugal Random Acts of Kindness

April 26th, 2006 at 04:35 pm

I have decided to set a personal goal of doing at least 4 FRAKs each week. (I would do more, but most days are spent working in the office here at home, alone or with DD1)

I will put 10% of my allowance ($2) each week into the pot, as well as spare change.

I will keep my eyes peeled for recipients and keep an open mind to new ways to achieve a kindness. (all suggestions are welcome!)

I will update progress as it occurs!

Here goes...

Good luck Ray! That is actually kind of a hard goal, especially since you work from home. You will have to keep your ear to the ground. Maybe the kids could help you hear about anything. Buying someones lunch behind you in a drive thru is a fun one! Quick and easy, but I don't know how often you drive thru! Leaving flowers on someones doorstep or paying a kid to mow an elderly persons lawn is good too! Sending a paid for pizza to someone with small kids or your daughters teacher one night?Good luck!

Dear Ray, I love your attitude! I also read the flylady, and you have the same great "declutter/show up for your own life" mindset.

    First off... what's a runza?

Second off, I found your site through a set of "baby blogs" who are all doing the college reward thing -- Little Grad (www.littlegrad.com) seems to be the one they are all digging. Since these things are giving free money for college if you're already online shopping, maybe checking into these might be a FRAK for one of your GKs (is that the rights shorthand?...)

Great writing, I'll keep reading :-)
