ok guys- time to do the happy dance!! My 401k bypassed the 10k mark today!! and I am still two paydays away from my 1 year anniversary!! WOO HOO!!!
I have other retirment savings...some of it has been rerouted into the kids business and will be paid back over the years as the business becomes more successful. This is year 3 for the business and the finances look like the kids will be able to pay me back a nice chunk this year..which I will apply to my mortgage. Ive pretty much figured out that by the time the kids are done paying me back, I will have my house paid off AND be ready for retirement--so it should work out great!
Dang it...my poor computer's LCD screen looks like it is being taken over by the blob...the black monster has now stretched across the screen-- thankfully, it is mostly just a thin black line and is not yet interfering with usage...but I know it is dying a slow death. Ugh.
However, for tonight it is time to celebrate achieving my financial goal for my 401k...oh yeah, oh yeah!!
