Last night I stepped back from my stove and there was a box on the floor....down she goes...right on the ol tailbone again.
Today, I went to retrieve our mail and stepped onto my dads wet proch and slipped on a leaf...luckily, I landed on my hip instead of my tailbone...but now my tailbone is hurting pretty bad.
I am shaking and in tears as this run of bad luck is truly painful---it hurts dagnabit.
I am NOT going to the retirement dinner tonight because I am back to not sitting for more than a few minutes at a time.
Does anyone else have this much trouble staying on their feet?
nothing about money.

I've learned to be extremely cautious over the last few years so I don't get hurt near as much, but I remember it well. Just slow down, always be aware of your surroundings, don't overload your arms, always use the handrail going down steps of any kind, going down them sideways helps, too. Don't leave anything on the kitchen floor, that is just asking for trouble, I learned that lesson the hard way. That box could have hurled your forward onto a hot burner just as easily as knocking you back on your butt.
Take it easy and have your DH pick you up a hernia pillow. That'll help with the sitting on a sore tailbone. Poor girl.
