such contrasts

Contrast is defined as...the dissimilarity or difference between things.

I learned the true definition of contrast today...I actually know someone whose annual BONUS is more than I make in one year.

It is such an eye opening thing to realize one full year of my life...equals a year end bonus for someone else.

WOW...It will take me a while to really absorb that...I value my life and my time so much. This is mind boggling.

Humbling doesnt even begin to describe the realization.


I am enjoying another contrast...



We have a fire in the wood stove tonight, as it is very cold outside...but in the morning, I will have to walk past the daffodils that grow like weeds in my front yard to get to my car...

How boring life would be without contrasts...

gorgeous daffodils in near freezing weather..

How amazing reality is with them.

A year of my life...or a year end bonus for someone else...

    Yes, youre right Kathy...contrasts do make the world go round..they also boggle my mind. I dont think Id want that job...perhaps thats why it takes me all year to make their year end bonus!! lol

    I try hard not to think about that kind of stuff Ray. We have too many friends/business partners who are doctors..., but then our employees think we are rich. Ha ha!

    We have people that work for us (framing contractors) that make the same hourly wage as my husband. They think that we are so rich and they don't have a pot! It is not what you make that counts, it is what you keep!

    Oh I totally agree...it is all about the mindset and what you keep that counts..

    On my way to work this morning, I was thinking about this again...Bill Gates makes my yearly salary every 15 minuts...whether he is awake or asleep...

    wow.

    I think he makes everyone in the world's yearly salary once a day...laughing...I wonder how God allows such a thing to happen?
