Lunch Challenge...

February 1st, 2011 at 04:31 am

I have joined HouseHopeful's lunch challenge this month. I enjoyed teriyaki chicken, jasmine rice and pineapple topped with a splash of sweet chili sause YUM. And thanks to leftovers, I get a do-over tomorrow.

Last fall I found a nice insulated Columbia lunch tote on sale at Kohl's - normally $14.99 for 2.99 + 30% off...I used it for the first time today and I LOVE it. It held all the fixins, plus a soda and an extra platic container for the pineapple after I opened the can.

I also took bagels and some cream cheese for breakfast this week- My job provides free coffee...and a container of creamer for a week is $3... so for $3 a week, thats a fairly cheap vice...(especially in leiu of $4 a day at Starbucks....)

Today was my first no-spend day in a while.

Tomorrow would be another no-spender except I need to get gas. But food-wise, wont have to spend a cent!

Thank you HouseHopeful for the challenge and inspiring me to get back to this healthy, frugal habit!
