Letter from Doctor...

February 25th, 2011 at 01:48 am

After my blood work, I received a letter from my doctor yesterday AND A PRESCRIPTION...for 8 weeks of 50000 units of Vitamin D. Everything else looked good...but apparently my Vit D is in the tank. I wonder if this is going to help with my migraines-as this is a symptom of this deficiency. Perscription was $11 for 8 pills. (But that is a 2 month supply since I only take it 1 day per week.)

I invited 3 dear friends to my June birthday get=away...I mentioned that my bff from California very likely is backing out of going. Today, friend #2 and I had a chance to chat- and she and her husband separated last night. (I feel REALLY bad for her...this has been a rocky few years for her-) theyve been married almost 40 years...I have no idea if she will be coming to the get away or not...right now, her focus clearly needs to be on her marriage.
Frown ...I wont even bring the trip up to her until much closer to the event- I just want to be there for her.

It has been snowing off and on all day. Tonighjt it is starting to stick. I know many of you have had more than your share of winter wonderland...but here we do not get many opportunities to enjoy snow. Smile

Not much money-wise happened today- so i think I will kick back and get a foot massage while watching the snow fall.

Ciao Babies!

make it a point to sit in the sun at least for a couple of hours per week, thatīs still the best source of vitamin careful, though, to make sure its either early in the morning or late in the afternoo!

I've been hearing more and more about how vitamin d deficiency can really affect you badly. One of the families my mom tutors for the mom is a doctor and is really big into Vitamin D - she told my mom that a lack of it can lead to diabetes, osteoporosis, etc.

I think all of your SA buddies ought to send you our pictures. You can print them out and bring them with you to your party. We'll be there in spirit!

miclason- (Hey sweets I hope you and ale are good!)...if ONLY I could get Mr. Sun to come to Oregon. Havent seen him lately (snowing tonight actually) I wonder if my doc could prescribe a trip to somewhere tropical? ha.

frugaltexan- yes...those are things I have heard also. My daughter is a pharmacy tech and said I should feel better in many ways when I get my D back in shape!

mjrube...I would much rather have the REAL ladies wanna come to Oregon?? SOunds like I will have extra room! lol. I can just see me sitting at the table with all your pictures talking to myself!

Hey Ray! I'll join you.....I'm in Oregon too Smile I think all of us here in the NW are lacking in Vit D....I had my physical in January and my blood work showed I was low too. Isn't it funny to watch the tv coverage of all of the SNOW!? My goodness the way they act you would think we were having a blizzard Smile They called off school today and by 10:00 it was all melted in our area....but we will see what happens is suppose to be COLD and if that happens I imagine there will be ice in the am Frown

I'd love to come to Oregon Smile

There pretty much is no sun in Oregon, hmm? This feeds right in to my theory that all human beings are meant to live in the tropics eating fresh fish & lovely fruit, and smiling in the benevolent sun....Geeze, I'm cold. Nothing but my face has seen the sun for months. Frown ....Well, good luck with the supplementing. Let us know if your migraines begin to resolve, won't you?
