The budget gremlins are out to get me.
I have turned down going out to dinner and a designer coffee run to stay on budget. Normally, I wouldnt even think twice. And normally, both would have been on my dime. But my resolve is firm..I will not frivulously spend this week.
Unfortunately....yesterday my ears plugged up and today I can barely hear out of my right ear. WTH??? No pain, just pressure and and some ringing. So, I stopped by the pharmacy where DD2 worked and she and the pharmasist suggested an antihistimine and Mucinex. I bought store brand and got an extra 20% off because DD2 is an employee, so $10.10. Fortunately, last night I drained the piggy bank and exchanged it today for dollars..it was $15.40. I paid back the LOC with the few dollars left in my purse and now have exactly $1.90....I am a big ice water drinker and will need to pick up a bag of ice tonight that is $1.89.
I obviously am being tested because of that BOLD and COCKY comment that I would have NO PROBLEM making it until Friday on $25. HA
Clearly the budget gremlins are out to prove me wrong.
Yesterday and today all meals have been from my food supply at home. I have meals planned for the rest of the week. I just hope that NOTHING else comes up before Friday.
I can do this!!!
